what does it mean to be human??

Being human means being unique, being unique means being human. A human is individual; it has feelings, rights and more. Humans live, they can do anything they want to, but some have rules, humans live in a world that has right and wrongs, good and evil, black and white and a lot more. A human is like a ying yang, some people understand it and others don’t, it has 2 sides buts it’s filled with many more. A human is like a world but it has its own little master in its brain that keeps it alive and makes its choices. This master rules the human, It has rights, feelings, it can do whatever it wants but most of the time it would be good if he choose to do good stuff.  I like being human and I love the master in my brain 

What does it mean to be human? well the dictionary discribes it as having a human form or attributes as opposed to those of an animal or devine beings. i watched a video and evryones first anwser or sound to the question to what does it mean to be human was uhhh... to me? being human means being alive in a human form (but that is pretty logical) but it means to survive and live your life, evolove and if you can suceed and ofcoarse to love. that is what it means to live and be human.

a few weeks later....

Okay so we talked about this in class.. and we came to the coclusion of human is being Alive and to SURVIVE!

What does it mean to be a human? Ahuman is a mamal that dominates the world now adays. Humans are a kind of animal that have been around for very long, what it means to be a human is to love,care,work,take care of friends family loved one, most important is health. There are many animals that do these things to but us humans are very unike, some are good and some bad some like us and some dont. We humans came to this world to make it a good place, but no evry day the WORLD is getting worse because of us abussing using to much energy polutiong the world. Us humans are very kind people, we care for others and wanna help others. Humans are very brogerd and always wants to be better than the rest. Us humans LOVE THE WOLRD. BY:Hatem El Hage 10A

Being Human - so simple, yet so complicated.

I always thought that being asked "where did you grow up" or "what do you want to be when you grow up" the hardest questions to be answered without a long answer. This question however.. reaches deeper and further into your soul and mind and other people... which makes my brain hurt from all the thinking I have to do.. yay. :)

Thought #2- ...
Thought #3- I'm not really getting anywhere with this.. hmm.

Honestly, I have no idea what it means to be human. I guess you could say all of those things that jump into your mind straight away such as: to love, to care, to learn, to make mistakes, etcetc, could be exactly what it means to be human. But somehow, I'm not feeling that vibe.
I mean sure, I do all of those things, but sitting here thinking, I'm wondering if that's what it means to be human.

History not only teaches us what happend in the past, but also what to expect in the future. Therefore, Wait scratch that.. I'm going to eat some chocolate for some flowerpower to come into my mind, maybe that'll help. :)

Anyways, mhm chocolate helps. :)

Back to the question.. I suppose that being human means:
-- making our lives easier at any given opportunity (there's actually a whole lot of scientific research done about that, just read Born To Run :D)
-- to be human, to be yourself
-- to learn and to make mistakes

Well.. simply said.. I suppose that the meaning of being human is simply to be human. To do all those things that we mammals were set out to do, while making our lives easier and unhealthier by the second. :)

To protect ones dignity and self-respect... which we acutally wouldn't need to do considering that it's only in our mind. So nevermind that..

Humans are like no other species in the animal or plant kingdom...

For me, being human means being me and no other person. It means pursuing my dreams and my goals. Challenging myself at any given moment and reach for the stars. It means smiling for 5 minutes straight everday, that way it'll come naturally.. (no that's not true but okay), it means to love and care for people, and give back to the community and world.

There obviously isn't a right or wrong answer, but this I feel.. comes close to what I want.. but I just can't get my thoughts around that one word or set of words that describe the meaning of being human.

Stanley Palm - Tarita Palm

Stanley Palm lived in a really sketchy neighborhood in a tiny house with his brother and sister and his parents. His parents split up when he was still young, but that never stopped him from pursuing his dream to become a baseball player.

When he was around 8 or 9, he started playing baseball in parking lots with neighborhood friends. They immediately saw his talent and asked him to join SUBT, which is a national baseball team.

He continued playing baseball all through highschool for Sta. Rosa and one day his dream came true. He earned a semi-scholarship to the University of Miami. He lived in Florida for his college life, adapted to the environment, and improved his English. (Since he went to PSC, a Dutch system school, he never really got a good English education.)

This made him a successful business man. And you may not know it, but this man is the reason why most of Curacao has access to call other cellphones and using internet via the cellphone. This man became so advanced in technology that he created what everyone here knows as 'Chippie'. When he came up with this idea, UTS immediately employed him, and he started his career from there.

He is now owner of SMS Korsou, his own company. He lives in a big beautiful house with his 2 kids and wife, and they are all aware of the efforts of his success.

What does it mean to be human?

To be human means many different things.
it means to be honest and friendly, and too care about others. To be human also means to make mistakes, everybody makes mistakes.
To be human also means that you must have responsibillities, for example getting an education, and as well as working to provide food for you're families.
To be human is also to love.
